Thames Valley accountants and business advisers James Cowper has promoted Alex Nicholson to tax director.

Nicholson joined the firm’s award-winning business tax team just over two years ago and has developed a strong client base, acting for both owner-managed and listed businesses, providing advice on all aspects of business taxation.

Commenting on his promotion, he said: “The Thames Valley is vibrant and home to many great companies. I have been privileged to help many of them structure and arrange their tax affairs in the most efficient way. I am delighted with this promotion and look forward to developing my career further over the coming years.”

Steve Clarke, James Cowper’s managing partner, added: “All of the firm extends its congratulations to Alex. He has worked hard to develop a strong client base.”
