Southampton's New Path Fire and Security makes 10th acquisition

Fire safety and security company New Path Fire and Security, a firm based in Southampton, recently acquired BDI Security Solutions in a deal that marked the Southampton businesses tenth acquisition.

Finances for the deal are as of yet undisclosed.

The acquisition reflects New Path's ongoing expansion through a rapid buy and build strategy that has been in operation for the company since 2020.

BDI Security Solutions is a Cambridgeshire-based business, which specialises in providing security solutions to blue-chip industries and business parks. BDI covers a number of security areas including: CCTV, barriers, gates, number plate recognition and access control.

Mark Pihlens, Director at New Path Fire & Security, said: “BDI Security Solutions’ specialisms are a perfect complement to those which we already have in the group, allowing us to provide an even more extensive offering to our growing customer base.”

Southeast law firm Moore Barlow provided legal advice for New Path Fire and Security over the course of the transaction.

Kirsty Leary, partner in the corporate team at Moore Barlow, said: “This deal demonstrates that there are plenty of good M&A opportunities available for like-minded partners, even in a challenging economic climate.

“It represents New Path continuing a well thought out buy and build strategy, which is allowing the company to grow quickly, sustainably and responsibly.”
