Law firm Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has welcomed its 2019 trainee intake with 25 trainee solicitors joining the firm's UK offices, four of whom will join the firm's Southampton office.

The two-year training contracts give the new trainees the opportunity to spend six months in four different business groups across the firm which are real estate, corporate and commercial, dispute resolution and private wealth. The training programme will also introduce the trainees to the firm's eleven key sectors of expertise as well as client secondments as part of their seat rotation.

Jon Hales, partner and head of the firm's Southampton office, said: "We are pleased to welcome our new trainee solicitors who will join us here in Southampton. They are a crucial part of the future growth and success of the firm. We have invested in a fantastic training programme that provides the perfect environment for new talent to develop and for our trainees to gain the essential skills, expertise and commercial acumen to pursue a successful career in law.

"We hope that many of our trainees will choose to continue their careers with the firm upon qualification after experiencing the broad range of client work and exciting opportunities we can offer."

The new trainees joining the Southampton office are Sasha Taylor, Hannah Taylor, Leonie Ricketts and Luke Betteridge.

Ranking in the UK's Top 20 law firms, WBD is one of the largest in Southampton where it employs more than 150 people at its office at Oceana House. The firm provides legal expertise in eleven key sectors from across eight offices in the UK and 19 offices in the US.
