In response to the recent big failures of HMV, Blockbusters and Comet and the threat of a triple-dip recession, Carl Jackson thought this was an ideal opportunity to launch his new Restructuring boutique called Quantuma.  Never one to follow the crowd Jackson developed the new branding in order to stand out from the competition. By offering restructuring and insolvency services, Jackson and his team can work alongside advisers to provide expert advice to their clients in the current climate.

Joining Jackson in developing the Quantuma practice are Kelly Mitchell and Paul Goddard. The three partners have all worked together previously at RSM Tenon and have a long history of working with local businesses.

Jackson is a licensed insolvency practitioner with over 25 years' experience. He is well known from his career at RSM Tenon where he set about building the successful restructuring practice and taking over the leadership of the national restructuring service line in 2006, growing the business threefold. Jackson began his career with Ernst & Young qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1988. He subsequently went onto specialise in Insolvency with PwC in 1989.

Kelly Mitchell has worked in the industry for over 14 years and is considered a trusted adviser to a number of local businesses. She is a qualified chartered certified accountant and insolvency practitioner with key specialisms in the retail, construction and recruitment sectors.

Goddard is a licensed insolvency practitioner with over 18 years of experience in the Insolvency and Restructuring field. He has worked for a number of firms from specialist insolvency boutiques to ‘big four’ firms, most recently managing PwC’s business recovery office in Bournemouth. As a result, he brings to Quantuma LLP a broad range of insolvency experience working on a wide variety of assignments from small, owner managed businesses to high-profile national insolvencies.

Jackson said: "With our combined experience of over 50 years in the restructuring and insolvency field I am confident that we can provide much needed advice to local distressed businesses."

Quantuma will provide advice on turnarounds, business reviews, raising finance, personal insolvency and formal insolvency procedures.
