South: Whitley Stimpson appoints manager to new HR role
Paula Nielsen has been appointed by chartered accountants Whitley Stimpson as HR manager, a new role in which she will support the business with her broad range of both generalist HR experience and specialist knowledge of learning and development, talent management and organisational change.
Nielsen is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (Chartered FCIPD) and brings over 20 years’ HR experience to the firm. She has extensive commercial experience working with large corporations including Unipart and Atkins plc and is dedicated to the development of others.
Her role will be to support the business across the Banbury, Bicester and High Wycombe offices in order to attract, retain, motivate and develop their people to achieve their maximum potential and provide an exceptional service to clients.
In April 2014 Whitley Stimpson became a limited company and implemented a new, more professional and strategically-focused management structure with dedicated committees including HR to drive the business forward. As part of the HR committee, one of Nielsen’s roles will be to spearhead the recruitment drive in order to support the rapid growth of the business.
Director Malcolm Higgs explained: “We’re really pleased to have Paula on board to take on what is a new role for us here. Our business has seen significant growth over the past year and her experience will fortify our progress. Paula’s role is not just of a support nature but has more of a strategic business focus.”
