Thames Valley, Bristol and Birmingham-based corporate finance company Transcend Corporate has continued its expansion with the appointment of Steve Bartlett as director.

Bartlett has an impressive track record in mergers and acquisitions advisory work, with transactions he has led including the management buyout of Connect Communications; advising LDC on its acquisition of Property Software Group; and advising the management of Meteo Group when it was sold by the Press Association.

He joins Transcend directors Ian Aldridge, Ian Curtis and Phil Rouse, making a team of four who have worked together previously in Big Four firms PwC and Ernst & Young, and who between them boast over 100 years' mergers and acquisitions advisory experience.

More recently Bartlett was a partner in BDO’s London-based corporate finance team, before leaving to establish and lead his own corporate finance business.  Alongside his general experience, he brings to the Transcend team specialist private equity and leveraged-finance skills.

Curtis said: “We have great respect for Steve as an experienced adviser. We are delighted that he has decided to join us and assist in the continued development of Transcend Corporate, with a raft of recently-completed deals and others currently in process. He will also bring additional capacity to our Thames Valley presence.”
