Law firm Blake Morgan has been cited in a directory of UK employers that promote diversity in the workplace. The firm has been selected to feature in the 2017 edition of the Inclusive Top 50 employers, a definitive list of UK-based organisations which promote inclusion across every level of employment within their company.

The inaugural directory highlights organisations which promote all strands of diversity, including age, disability, gender, LGBT and race.

Blake Morgan, which has offices in Cardiff, London, Oxford, Portsmouth, Reading and Southampton, has a long-standing commitment to promoting inclusion and had to provide evidence of recruitment procedures, training and diversity-related initiatives to be considered for the directory.

The list was compiled by a dedicated panel of judges who scored organisations based on their performance on a range of areas within the diversity arena.

The official rankings within the Top 50 will be announced at The Excellence in Diversity Awards, due to take place on November 30 at The Midland Hotel, in Manchester.

Liz Bryne, head of learning and development at Blake Morgan, said: “We are very proud of the firm’s long-standing commitment to providing equal opportunities in employment which means that everyone is equally valued, respected, and treated with dignity and fairness.

“We are delighted that those exemplary standards have been recognised by featuring in this highly-regarded Top 50 that includes a string of leading organisations across a range of sectors.”

Bruce Potter, chairman of Blake Morgan, said: “At Blake Morgan, we work to ensure that we recognise, support and promote the wide-ranging talents we have within our business, through ensuring that our environment is one that listens, and one where everyone can reach their fullest potential.

“Our job is to remove barriers to success, and create a pathway that enables our people and their talents to drive forward the success of our firm, and we are delighted that our ongoing efforts in this are being recognised”
