Regional law firm Ellis Jones Solicitors has promoted four rising stars to new positions.

Victoria Riddleston and Rebecca Suthers have been made senior associate solicitors, while Abigail Sinden and William Dooley have become associate solicitors.

The appointments come as Ellis Jones Solicitors continues to develop the best talent and promote from within at its six offices on the south coast and in London.

Nigel Smith, managing partner, said: “Victoria, Rebecca, Abigail and William are to be warmly congratulated on their richly-deserved promotions.

“They are rising stars who have shown themselves to be invaluable members of the team at Ellis Jones.

“It is important that talented and dedicated lawyers have a clear pathway for career progression at the firm, and we will continue to promote the best from within.”

Riddleston is a specialist in contentious trust and probate and contentious Court of Protection work.

She is a member of Ellis Jones’ Dispute Resolution, specialist charity advice service and Court of Protection teams.

Riddleston also holds membership of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Solicitors (ACTAPS), the Charity Law Association and the Institute of Legacy Management.

She has been ranked as an ‘Associate to Watch’ in Chambers and Partners’ High Net Worth guide, Private Wealth Disputes (UK, the South) for the last three years and endorsed as a Key Lawyer in the Legal 500 (UK 2020) guide (and a Recommended Lawyer in their 2019 and 2018 guides) for contentious trusts and probate.

Rebecca Suthers works in the Wills, Trust and Probate Department. She qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2014 and has a LLB (Hons) Law Degree from De Montfort University, Leicester.

Suthers is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Legal Executives and an Associate Member of the Society of Trust and Estate and Practitioners (STEP).

Abigail Sinden advises on a range of commercial matters and has a particular interest in e-commerce, commercial contracts, IT and intellectual property.

She qualified as a Solicitor in 2105 and joined Ellis Jones after working inhouse at a leading manufacturer in oil and gas.

Sinden is a part-time lecturer at Bournemouth University, teaching on the Legal Practice Course.

William Dooley advises across a range of Ellis Jones services, including banking and finance, litigation, betting, gambling and gaming, and dispute resolution.

He qualified as a Solicitor in 2015. He has a LLB (Hons) Law Degree from the University of Swansea and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law.
