Shawbrook Bank appoints new South and Central business development manager
Shawbrook Bank has appointed Craig Smith as the new business development manager of its South and Central region.
Smith’s most recent role saw him working as head of new business development at Hampshire-based VIBE Finance. His 12 years’ total experience also saw him taking on the role of business development manager at the Cedar Group.
He said: “I’m so delighted and proud to join Shawbrook. Through my previous work in the industry, I have come to know the company well and have always admired the Shawbrook ethos.
“I’m hugely impressed with the culture at Shawbrook and the purpose that drives it. The combination of great people and innovative technology means we can offer a service that’s practical and personal at scale.
“I’m looking forward to showing brokers just what we can do for them and their clients, which I think will surprise a few people given just how diverse our product offering has become – it certainly did me.”

Shawbrook’s presence in the South East is underscored by their sponsorship of the ‘Young Dealmaker of the Year’ category at The Business Magazine’s Thames Valley Deal Awards, which will return on November 3.
The Young Dealmaker of the Year (under 35) award will be presented to the person who has had the most significant impact on completion of deals within the region. Nominations for the award can be made here until this Friday (9 September).
