Santander Corporate banking has established a new Regional Corporate Banking Centre to support businesses in the Thames Valley region. The new centre is located at Davidson House, Forbury Square, in Reading and will be managed by Vanessa McCormack, regional director.
The Thames Valley Corporate Banking Centre will provide a bespoke relationship banking service to corporate and commercial customers with a turnover above £1 million and offers a full range of banking services, helping businesses to manage their cashflow and grow their business. In order to ensure the bank provides a high level service, Santander has recruited 12 experienced relationship directors and managers who will support businesses across the region including Newbury, Slough, Basingstoke, Oxford and Reading.
Vanessa McCormack, regional director for the Thames Valley region said: “Santander Corporate Banking has a clear strategy of increasing its presence in the corporate and commercial banking market, based on building long term relationships with our customers. The bank is investing heavily in the Thames Valley region, to help us achieve our ambition of becoming the bank of choice for businesses and we have recruited a strong experienced team, in order to provide the level of support businesses need.“
“We are not a bank that wants to simply sell products for the short term. Our role is to listen, reflect and then provide sustainable sensible solutions in partnership with the client. Our regional corporate banking centre network already supports thousands of businesses across the UK and this local presence, together with our strong capital base and low risk profile, means that we are well placed to offer the best support for businesses in the region.”
