The Reading office of Gateley plc has appointed solicitor Eleanor Wood to its family team. Wood, who is a member of Resolution, an organisation that promotes a constructive and non-confrontational approach to family law matters, joins from Hallett & Co Solicitors in Kent where she completed her training contract.

Her areas of specialism include: divorce and separation; financial disputes involving mid to high net worth assets, businesses, pensions and trusts; property disputes between unmarried partners; disputes in relation to children and financial claims on behalf of children; and protective work at the outset of a relationship or marriage.

Wood said: "Gateley is a pioneering law firm and it's attracting the best lawyers. Joining the team is a really exciting opportunity and one I didn't want to miss. I look forward to helping develop family and private client services across the Thames Valley, as well as working for a straight-talking firm with a great reputation."

Owen Reynolds, family and private client partner for the Reading office, said: “Eleanor’s appointment sees us further expanding our excellent Family and Private Client reputation in the Thames Valley and I am delighted to welcome her on board.”

Gateley is a trusted adviser for all personal and family legal requirements and wealth management issues.

Gateley’s Reading office has been open for 19 months and has seen rapid growth with the appointment of seven partners over that time and has gone from a team of two to 20 people.
