One of the fastest growing law firms in Oxford, Hedges Law, welcomes five new joiners to its team, including private client solicitor, Rachel Carrington-Matthews.

Experienced divorce lawyer and mediator, Carrie Rudge, who is particularly skilled in handling complex, high net-worth cases, has also been promoted to head of family.

Rudge’s promotion and Carrington-Matthews’ appointment come just months after Tom McInerney joined as head of private client, with all roles central to realising the firm’s ambitious growth trajectory.

Carrington-Matthews joins with seven years’ experience working for major leading law firms, specialising in estate administration and wills, trusts, powers of attorney and court of protection work. She will be joined by Emily Pinder, senior residential conveyancer in the property team.

Lucy Stratton also joins as new business development manager to help drive Hedges’ growth strategy. The firm, which has offices in Oxford and Wallingford, now employs 43 staff and in the last 24 months has doubled its revenue. Earlier this year it was listed in The Legal 500 national legal buyers’ guide as one of the best law firms and legal advisers in the South-East.

Nicola Poole, managing director at Hedges Law, said, “Our 230 year old firm is on an exciting new chapter of growth which includes constantly innovating and improving the way we deliver our services. Having great people is critical to this success so we’re delighted to have such fantastic new talent join our exceptional team, providing clients with advice throughout all stages of their life, whether that’s moving house, owning businesses, going into or leaving a marriage, dealing with their property portfolios or protecting their assets for their loved ones – we are there every step of the way."
