Law firm Gardner Leader has been shortlisted for Law Firm of the Year in the national Halsbury Legal Awards 2014.
The awards, powered by international publishing corporation, Lexis Nexis, were launched last year to celebrate excellence in the law and legal profession. Gardner Leader has been nominated in the Law Firm of the Year award for firms with 50 or more staff. The awards are open to all legal practices in the UK.
Gardner Leader was recognised by the judges for the value, quality and range of services it offers and the high profile cases won by its specialist legal teams.
In particular, the dispute resolution team was highlighted for winning a ground breaking contested probate case at High Court, Brooke v. Purton [2014] EWHC, which involved the interpretation of clerical errors on wills. The team is also celebrating a string of successes including a multi-million pound High Court professional negligence claim, Swynson v Lowick Rose LLP (formerly Hurst Morrison Thomson) [2014] EWHC 2085 (Ch) Rose J.
Derek Rodgers, managing partner of Gardner Leader, commented on getting through to the finals: "I'm very proud of the team as their hard work and commitment is the reason we've reached the finals. It's a celebration of the firm's success, the team's specialist knowledge and of our dedication to ensuring our clients get the best service."
The finals for the Halsbury Legal awards 2014 will take place on September 24.
