Kent's DMA Group awarded £2m fire compliance deal
Kent-based property services specialists DMA Group has been granted a £2 million fire compliance contract at the Port of Dover.
The contract means that DMA will carry out repairs and upgrades to around 65 buildings across the estate, making sure that the port is up to date with fire precautions.
The port is Europe’s busiest international ferry port, dealing with £144 billion of trade in goods each year, and 33 per cent of the UK’s trade with the EU. It handles at least two million cars and 11 million passengers annually and about 2.4 million trucks pass through it each year.
This scheme is part of the multi-year, port-wide mechanical & electrical (M&E) maintenance and projects framework which started in January 2022.

DMA’s service delivery has lead to a number of expansions, meaning that the firm now covers: general building maintenance, fabric repairs, and specialist compliance services.
Steve McGregor, managing director of DMA Group, said: “Securing this project is a testament to the transparent, collaborative efforts of both organisations and because we are both focused on finding ways to work smarter together.”
