KAMIC Group acquires all shares in AGW Electronics Ltd through Dorset Subsidiary ETAL
Stockholm-based corporate entity KAMIC Group has acquired all of the shares in AGW Electronics Ltd through its Dorset Subsidiary, ETAL.
AGW is a manufacturer of customised wound magnetic components such as transformers, inductors, and associated assemblies. Through this acquisition AGW Electronics becomes part of KAMIC Group’s Magnetics business area, adding an additional 60 employees and annual sales of approximately £5 million to KAMIC's portfolio.
Managing Director of AGW Electronics Nigel Godwin said: “We are very pleased to be able to join our company to the KAMIC Group. We have a lot in common regarding technology and skills and we complement each other well in terms of the customers we serve. As part of KAMIC Group’s Magnetics business area we will have access to contacts, support and tools that in the long term will benefit AGW, our employees and our customers.”
PDT Solicitors, based in Horsham, advised KAMIC subsidiary ETAL on the deal through a team comprised of leader Noel Ruddy, Sian Webber, Victoria Jackson, Laura McMaster, Chehraz Fox, Ian Lindley, and Faye Griffith.
Dan Phelan, head of business in area magnetics at KAMIC said: "Thank you to the PDT team for all their hard work in getting this transaction over the line. To allow a smooth handover of the business, it was important to us that the transaction completed at a month end. PDT took this request on board and ensured we were in a position to complete by the deadline set. We look forward to working with PDT on our next acquisition."
