Hampshire-based law firm Moore Blatch has made a series of appointments and promotions across its clinical negligence and community care teams to meet rising demand for work in these areas.

Abi Fletcher and Tarra Hills have joined the clinical negligence team in Southampton as qualified solicitors, and Mea Gleisner, now qualified, will support Paula Barnes as head of community care.

After attaining a first-class law degree, Fletcher gained approximately six years' experience conducting a wide range of clinical claims, with particular expertise in upper-limb orthopaedic injuries, surgical errors, delays in diagnosis and dental claims. She recently joined Moore Blatch and will specialise in acting for clients on all aspects of claims against GPs, NHS Trusts, dentists, pharmacists and doctors.

Hills has been with Moore Blatch since 2011 and has been promoted internally within the firm. As well as her clinical negligence experience, she has gained experience in personal injury and industrial disease cases. She will concentrate on a range of claims, eventually managing her own clinical negligence case load.

Gleisner, who originally joined Moore Blatch in 2009 and completed her training contract by gaining experience across a series of departments within the firm, is now a fully-qualified solicitor and is pleased to be specialising in community care which she believes is a growing area.

Head of clinical negligence Tim Spring commented: “We are pleased to have recruited and promoted some exceptional candidates. With the NHS and other medical providers encouraging patients to become involved in their care, we are finding that more people are seeking specialist advice to ensure that they get the treatment and support they deserve. Improving and strengthening our service by having the right people in place will ensure that our clients get the best advice possible.”
