Hampshire & Isle of Wight: Glanvilles LLP strengthens private client and commercial teams

Law firm Glanvilles LLP has made four new appointments to strengthen its offering.

In the private client team, Darren Price has been recruited as senior solicitor.

Price is an experienced solicitor and member of The Society of Trusts & Estate Practitioners (STEP) who specialises in all aspects of private client work including wills, administration of estates, trusts, enduring/lasting powers of attorney, court of protection matters and inheritance tax planning. He is based at the firm’s office at Cams Hall, Fareham.

Price originally graduated in business studies and secured employment at Guinness (now Diageo) in London. He then changed careers, successfully completing the Common Professional Examination in Law at Thames Valley University. He completed his training at Eric Robinson Solicitors in Southampton and was admitted as a solicitor in 2005. He joins Glanvilles from Southampton firm Paris Smith LLP.

He said: “I felt that the opportunity to join a top-class firm like Glanvilles just couldn’t be missed. It has an excellent reputation in the region and is looking to expand.”

Sonia Green, head of the private client team, said: “I am confident that Darren will use his expertise and knowledge to great effect as part of our team.”

Glanvilles has also strengthened its business and commercial services team with three new appointments.

Mathew Bridger joins as a senior associate from Thomas Eggar. He is a commercial lawyer with significant experience in all aspects of commercial work, and is based at the firm’s Isle of Wight office.

More recent appointments to the team are Damien Newton who joins as partner and Akbar Shah as solicitor

Glanvilles has offices in Fareham, Havant and Isle of Wight and offers a full range of legal services for individuals and businesses.
