A business adviser at Evelyn Partners, the integrated wealth management and professional services group, has swapped his Bristol office for one in the Big Apple, part of CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA).

Evelyn Partners and CLA are members of a global network, CLA Global Limited (CLA Global), which has launched this global mobility programme.

Dominic Gibbs, who is a senior manager in the outsourcing services team in Bristol, is flying the flag for Evelyn Partners in New York through the CLA Global Mobility Abroad Programme.

CLA Global is a leading global organisation comprised of independent accounting and advisory firms and was founded in 2022 by CLA and Evelyn Partners.

Dominic and his US counterpart Pål Proeitz from Minnesota are the first to swap roles as part of the programme. Dominic is working in CLA’s Manhattan office with the firm’s global advisory team which supports fast-growing, cross-border businesses.

Pål has started work in Evelyn Partners’ Bristol office where he will be helping business clients automate their group financial reporting using the LucaNet performance management software.

He is on secondment from CLA’s global advisory and outsourcing practice where he specialises in helping high-growth businesses in the USA expand internationally.

Pål advises on a range of matters, including entity creation, banking set-up and location services, as well as helping clients with financial reporting, compliance, and budgeting and forecasting.

Dominic said: “I’m really excited about starting this new adventure with CLA’s global advisory team in New York and the great opportunities this fantastic partnership can bring. There’s huge demand for expert advice among foreign companies looking to set up in the US.

“If you are a high-growth UK business looking to expand in the US but are new to the country and the US market, we can guide you through the international finance and regulatory complexities.”

Pål said: “Bristol is a beautiful city and the people here are so friendly. I’m really enjoying working with UK clients and I really like LucaNet as a performance management solution - so I’m excited to be working with the team on that as well.”

Partner Helen Bassett, who leads Evelyn Partners’ business outsourcing services team in Bristol, said: “We’re really proud of Dominic for flying the flag for us in New York as the first person to take part in the new CLA Global Mobility Abroad Programme. And we’re delighted to welcome Pål to our Bristol office.

Helen added: “The launch of CLA Global includes helping our business clients in the UK that are looking to expand into the US. Our team here in Bristol are also specialists in helping US firms setting up in the UK for the first time.

“CLA Global serves more than 10,000 international clients in over 100 countries. So being a part of this exciting new network enables us to provide an unbeatable global service to our international clients.”
