The Royal Bank of Scotland in Crawley have provided a £2 million funding package to support the expansion of the South East’s Stanhill Court Hotel.
Built in 1881 and set across 35-acres of ancient woodland in the medieval village of Charlwood, the property was originally built to serve as the family home of William Young. The home was since redeveloped into a hotel and in 1992 purchased by current owners Tony and Kathryn Colas.
With the business working at capacity Tony contacted his long term banking partner, Paul Little from RBS, to discuss his plans to expand the hotel. Having worked closely with Tony for over 10 years, Paul was able to deliver a £2 million funding package to take forward his expansion strategy.
Now providing 34 guest bedrooms, 10 rooms for conference and wedding facilities as well as an AA Rosette restaurant, the property has maintained its status as one of the South East’s leading wedding and conference venues.
Tony Colas, Owner, Stanhill Court Hotel said: "Our business has grown incredibly over the past few years and I am delighted with the insightful advice and financial package that Paul provided us to take forward the expansion of our business. My thanks go to Paul and the team at RBS for being on hand throughout the project and I look forward to welcoming customers into our new facilities."
Paul Little, Associate Director Commercial Banking at RBS in Crawley said: "I am pleased to be working with Tony and Kathryn. He has formed a strong business and has a strong understanding of the local market and industry he operates within. I have confidence in his business and know that he will continue to provide the excellent level of service that his business is widely known for."
