Saffery is the new name of Saffery Champness with effect from 4 September. The rebrand of the accounting and advisory firm is a significant milestone in its 168-year history.

Founded in 1855, Saffery has remained entirely independent throughout, and its new brand and supporting visual identity builds on this unparalleled heritage becoming a go to brand in the corporate and entrepreneurial sectors, whilst continuing to grow its private client and landed estates’ roots. This is an exciting phase for the firm, which is set to continue to grow and succeed alongside its clients into the future by supporting opportunity and enabling success.

Saffery is widely regarded as the pre-eminent adviser in the profession. At its core is client relationships and service which is always supported by a select, dedicated team. This legacy is core to the firm’s focus on tailored solutions and client relationships that create value and stand the test of time. These have seen it become a trusted partner to creative, innovative, forward-thinking individuals and organisations, from on screen talent and entrepreneurs to real estate businesses and charitable entities.

Saffery has a network of 10 offices across the UK and Ireland – including in High Wycombe and Bournemouth – which together support a team of nearly 1,000 people focused on the firm’s core areas of expertise including Audit and Assurance, Business Advisory, Corporate Finance, Tax, Trusts, and VAT – all adopting the new branding from the 4 September.

The firm’s independent offshore business in Guernsey, Switzerland, Dubai, and Cayman, will now be known as Saffery Trust.

Sheryl Davis, Partner in Saffery’s High Wycombe office commented: “This is a hugely exciting time for the firm, after identifying an opportunity to revisit our brand and evolve our proposition to better reflect who we are and what we do. This includes our international outlook supported by our relationship with our Nexia colleagues around the world. It was an absolute strategic priority for us and I am immensely grateful to all those involved for their efforts and for delivering a brand that everyone in the firm can be proud to be part of.”

Roger Wareham, Partner in Saffery’s Bournemouth office added: “We are immensely proud of our history – with our longevity as an independent firm encapsulating the relationship we have with our clients, many of whom are multi-generational or have long-term aspirations and requirements. Equally, our world is changing fast – it is both increasingly international and digital-first – and just as our clients are looking forward and adapting, so are we. Our new branding provides us with an exciting opportunity to demonstrate the underlying modern thinking and technological progress of the firm to the market.”
