Worcestershire venue unveils new look with HSBC UK support
A family-run restaurant and events destination near Worcester, has modernised its increasingly popular wedding venue after securing a five-figure loan from HSBC UK.
Situated along the River Severn, The Holt Fleet, owned by Alan, Sue, Barrie and Maureen Law, has undergone a refurbishment of its 2,350 sq ft wedding room and updated its 7,190 sq ft business space, giving it a modern look. The new wedding room includes a contemporary bar, new feature walls, new curtains and lighting and a purpose-built station for serving evening food.
The venue previously secured funding from HSBC UK in 2017 to modernise its every-day bar and bistro which led to a 50 per cent increase in turnover. As the business continues to grow, the owners will look to bring in further staff to support the team.
Sue Law, Co-Owner, The Holt Fleet, said:
“Our family purchased the premises in 1983 and in the last 36 years, with support from our team, we have provided excellent customer service to our guests. Our wedding venue has excelled over the last six years and we’re confident that by modernising the facility, this trend will continue. The updated wedding space will bring the venue in line with our newly developed bar and bistro. Thanks to the support from our HSBC UK Relationship Manager, Matthew Cooper, we now have a complete look throughout the venue. We’re excited to welcome our future brides and grooms to the new venue.”
Stephen Peart, Area Director for Worcestershire, HSBC UK, said:
“HSBC UK is committed to supporting great British businesses. It’s rewarding to see a family business with so much history go from strength-to-strength in a competitive marketplace. With its modernised wedding venue, The Holt Fleet has the all the ingredients to create the best memories for its customers. We wish the whole team the best for the future.
