Windsor: Leading entrepreneur to speak at Women in Business launch
Elizabetta Camilleri, co-founder and CEO of Shopological, formerly SalesGossip, the award-winning fashion platform that brings consumers closer to the brands they love, is a special guest speaker at the Women in Business launch on Friday, March 31.
Camilleri set up the platform in 2011 with co-founder Emilio Sanz, whom she met at London Business School’s incubator programme. They shared an enthusiasm for discovering innovations that can improve lives and sought to revolutionise the shopping experience.
Shopological has grown to almost 2 million registered users, works with more than 1,300 retailers and has evolved its customer insight and tailored content offering for both customers and retailers’ benefit.
Camilleri will be a special guest speaker at the Women in Business launch event at The Oakley Court Hotel, near Windsor, which runs from 9am to noon.
The event will also include a discussion panel focusing on Women in STEM and career-break returners. On the panel will be Jacqueline de Rojas, president of techUK; Leona Shepherd, general manager, corporate sales & marketing, 3M; and Jacqui Ferguson, senior vice-president at HP.
Shopological was awarded Start-up of the Year 2014 by The Guardian, was named one of the best websites for savvy shoppers by The Times in 2013 and won the RBS EnterprisingU Competition in 2012. Camilleri herself was awarded the SMARTA100 Female Entrepreneur of the Year in 2013.
Prior to Shopological, she worked across a spectrum of multinationals and start-ups, including eDreams, Orange and Gartner, bringing over 20 years of experience in business strategy, online and mobile marketing, customer segmentation and innovation. Originally from Malta, Camilleri holds an MBA from London Business School.
