Winchester’s first carbon neutral commercial building now complete
A commercial building in Winchester, which is generating more energy than it consumes and has minimal carbon emissions, has been completed in the city.
Infrastructure and real estate developer Gentian said the building has been constructed by local contractor SM5 and has achieved the highest energy efficiency rating of EPC A+.
The two Class E units are located at Moorside road, Winnall.

Gentian managing director Nick Ekins said: "We are proud to deliver the first net zero purpose-built commercial building in Winchester.
"It has been great to work again with the SM5 team and provide new premises for such a highly regarded tenant."
Könings Detailing, the specialist car detailing firm, has already leased one of the two units.
Its founder Michael Laskowski said: "In our line of work, security is of utmost importance.

The other unit is currently available for let through local agents Lambert Smith Hampton and Goadsby.
