Connect Catering is celebrating fifth place in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies To Work For 2018 - presented at a glittering awards ceremony attended by 1,300 people at Battersea Evolution, London.
Based in Wallingford and established in 1989, Connect Catering has maintained a top 20 position for the sixth consecutive year and fifth place is its highest placing to date. A total of 799 companies entered in the 250-3,000 employees range.
Connect was the only contract caterer to reach the top 100 in 2018.
The company said it achieved this accolade through the passion and commitment to train and develop every member of staff to achieve their maximum potential.
Jane Griffiths, operations director, said: "This attention to detail and pride in a job well done is fundamental to Connect’s success. Connect understands that consistent and fulfilling engagement, plus a genuine care for employees' wellbeing, ensures they deliver the highest standard of service.
“What another great year for Connect. Our customers and clients benefit daily from motivated and strong teams. We know we employ amazing, dedicated people, and it is great they all feel motivated to get involved to express their views on how to make Connect even better.”
Connect has been awarded Investors in People Gold award, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and the ISO 50001 Energy Standard award. Chef manager Jamie Hicks has also been selected to compete in the grand final of the National StrEAT Food Awards 2018 on March 20.
Kate Bendall, joint managing director, said: “This is the seventh year we have entered this employee engagement survey and each year we are delighted at how consistently we perform.”
