Vail Williams oversees Reading skin clinic Milan's expansion
Milan Skin Clinic, a specialist skin treatments practitioner, is expanding after securing a second base in Reading town centre.
The deal, negotiated by leading property consultancy Vail Williams, sees the company signing a 20 year lease on the ground floor of The Maltings, a historic riverside property very close to The Oracle shopping centre.
The listed 19th century building on Fobney Street was most recently occupied by fish restaurant chain Loch Fyne. Previously is was part of the old Courage Brewery site.
Vail Williams surveyor James Newton had this to say about the deal: "The Grade II listed Maltings provides stylish and versatile space in a highly desirable and convenient town centre location."
“Many period features of the original building have been retained, combining with a high standard refurbishment throughout to create a unique, high quality working environment."
“After strong interest in this property, which overlooks the River Kennet, I was pleased to be able to facilitate the letting to Milan Skin Clinic and I will be interested to see how the building is utilised.”
Director of Marketing at Milan Skin Clinic, Omar Sheikh, says that the business is rebranding and that the expansion to a second base isn't to replace but to complement its existing headquarters on the Oxford Road in Reading.
“The Maltings proved to be irresistible for us to base our unique skin clinic with our team of dedicated skin therapists and highly experienced medical practitioners offering more than 100 different treatments."
“We are indebted to Vail Williams for sourcing this property for us and we continue to grow our concept of providing specialist skin and body treatments together with aesthetics all under one roof.”
The rent is believed to be around £25,000 per annum, with a staged increase in year two and a price review after five years.
