Expanding South Coast property consultancy Vail Williams has extended its lease on its office in Ocean Village in Southampton to 2030 and carried out a refurbishment there.

The firm's commitment and investment at Savannah House continues the group's continuous presence in the city since the 1980s.

"There are nearly 8,000 businesses in Southampton, many of them with real estate requirements that we have been advising on over the past 35 years or so," said Russell Miller, Vail Williams’ regional managing partner for the South Coast.

"Our commitment to this proud city, regarded as a gateway to the world for containers, cruise liners and car shipments, remains as strong as ever, which is why we have signed a new lease extension to 2030 on the office and invested a substantial figure in refurbishing the office to the highest of standards for staff and clients."

The office makeover on the building's ground floor sees 26 new workstations, three additional meeting/private study rooms and a new collaboration space. The work was carried out by commercial interior design group Vibe.

Two new Vail appointments also work from Savanna House. David Podesta, who joined as an associate focusing on property development consultancy and Lucy Clifford Bowles - a senior surveyor with the building consultancy team.

Vail Williams manages the building for the landlord, Poole-based Forelle Estates and other occupiers on the other two floors are fellow professional services firms PwC and CBRE.

The firm has two other offices on the South Coast – one at Lakeside North Harbour business campus in Portsmouth, where a new five-year lease was signed last year, and in Bournemouth, at Everdene House, opposite the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

The consultancy has also opened a new office in Oxford to meet growing business demand.
