UCA to host Creative Growth summit
The University of the Creative Arts is inviting creative businesses in and around Surrey and the South East to join it on 1 March for the region’s first Creative Growth – Business & Innovation Summit.
Hosted at its Farnham Campus, the event will offer creative entrepreneurs and academics the opportunity to discuss how the region can further develop its creative sector.
Among the topics on the agenda will be business development, regional investment, funding collaborations, the latest innovations, and CreaTech.
The event is part of a wider £450,000 project to fund collaboration and innovation in the region’s creative sector, and will see the launch of the Creative Industries Network.

This network will look to support networking and collaboration within the sector, helping to share best practice and support future development, with particular focus on CreaTech, Games, TV, film and production, Advertising, Architecture, Arts & Culture, Crafts, Design, Fashion, Music and Publishing.
Professor Simon Macklin, Deputy Vice-Chancellor at UCA, said: “The South East is home to some of the world’s most innovative companies, practitioners, and entrepreneurs in the creative industries.
“This summit is all about bringing the creative sector together so that we can look at how we can share the University’s research, expertise and international connections to turbo-charge growth in the sector across the region.”
