Tring: Grass Roots Meetings & Events appoints new account director

One of the world’s leading providers of strategic meetings and events solutions, Grass Roots Meetings & Events, has appointed David Battley as account director.

Battley joins the Tring-based company from BI Worldwide where he was director of events for four years, delivering incentive travel programmes and conference solutions primarily for the automotive, financial services and IT telecoms industries.

Prior to BI Worldwide, Battley spent four years as director of meetings and events for Hogg Robinson, one of the largest travel management companies in the UK, and 11 years heading up Events by Appointment, the events division of The Appointment Group, Europe’s largest entertainment travel specialist.
