Central South law firm Trethowans has overseen the sale of Two Cedars care home in Broadstone, Poole to Dorset-based operator Serenata Care.

The Trethowans team, led by corporate partner Mark Nixon and registered foreign lawyer Gerta Xoxi, advised former owner Jean Williams – who, after 23 years of ownership, is now looking to retire.

Mark and Gerta were assisted by Bethanie Watson, associate solicitor on Trethowans’ commercial property team, and Kira Mountain, employment solicitor.

Jean said: “Mark, Gerta and the team were efficient and supportive in their handling of the transaction which enabled me to sell Two Cedars without any complications.

“Thank you once again for your patience and excellent advice throughout the process of the sale.”

Two Cedars occupies a two-storey property with 17 single furnished ensuite bedrooms. The home is registered with the Care Quality Commission and has a full-time registered manager.

Gerta added: “It’s been a pleasure to work with Jean and Sue Wheatley, the previous registered manager of Two Cedars, and support them in the sale after such a long period of ownership.

“We wish Jean and Sue all the very best with their future retirement plans.”

The home is now the third site operated by Serenata Care, whose acquisition was funded via a seven-figure package from HSBC.

Serenata also runs the nearby Park Lodge, as well as Abbey Rose in Broadstone.

Vimla Heeroo, director at Serenata Care, said: “My passion for care started 25 years ago when I first became a nurse.

“It’s been over 15 years since I bought our first home, and with HSBC’s support, I’ve been able to fulfil our family’s dream of expanding our presence in Dorset and offering care to more local residents.”
