Business leaders will be able to ask searching questions on current economics to a renowned expert at a free-to-attend breakfast briefing at the University of Southampton science park on March 1.
Janet Mui, who has been interviewed by the BBC, Sky News, Bloomberg and CNB and is head of market analysis at wealth manager RBC Brewin Dolphin is the guest speaker at the seminar hosted by Hampshire firm HWB Chartered Accountants.

"The HWB seminar is an ideal chance to dissect what the current macroeconomic picture means for the markets and your money," she said.
"Towards the end of 2023, the Bank of England held rather than raised interest rates in line with inflation slowing at last.
"Investors are now turning their attention to the timing and extent of rate cuts this year," said Mui, who helps determine the investment strategies on ‘assets under management’ in portfolios now worth more than £55 billion.
"Major central banks are expected to cut interest rates together, while regional economic growth may diverge.
"A soft landing in the US economy seems the most likely outcome for now, though there are still plenty of risks to watch out for.
"Meanwhile, government indebtedness places constraints on fiscal policy which will be a hot topic in a year full of elections," she added.
Meanwhile, Michaela Johns, HWB director, added: "Key issues will no doubt include the impact on investment confidence and market expectations of macroeconomic events here and overseas.
"Given the many factors at play internationally, we will focus on hoping for the best while preparing for the worst as we aim to make sense of global developments."
A native speaker in Mandarin and Cantonese, Janet Mui is recognised as an expert on China’s economic growth and influence and has been named a ‘Top Voice’ on UK and global finance issues on LinkedIn.
She spent ten years as lead global economist at investment house Cazenove Capital. In 2021, she was named 'Best Industry Commentator' at the City of London Wealth Management Awards.
HWB Chartered Accountants was founded in 1985 as Hopper Williams & Bell and is based near Southampton. It provides accounting, tax and business advisory services across Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset and West Sussex.
Its 'Economist Seminar with Janet Mui' is at the Axis conference centre from 8am to 10am on Friday, March 1. To register click HERE.
