Thames Valley law firm Blandy & Blandy has donated £25,000 to the two local NHS charities which it has adopted over the last three years.

The cheque was presented by Blandy & Blandy chairman and partner Nick Burrows to Babies in Buscot Support (BIBS) and the Royal Berks Charity - both based at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

Jo Warrior, director at the Royal Berks Charity, said: "Blandy & Blandy’s support has made a real difference to the patients of the Royal Berkshire Hospital, helping to improve the experience and care they receive."

BIBS’ chief executive Sarah Critchley added: "The funds donated to BIBS over this time has made a huge impact on our small charity – supporting the local neonatal unit, Buscot Ward, who care for premature and poorly newborn babies at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. They have helped us fund equipment, improve facilities, and provide emotional support to Buscot families.

"Blandy & Blandy also played an integral part of ‘Team BIBS’, our Reading Half Marathon running team in 2023, helping us have a very successful event. We want to say thank you to everyone at Blandy & Blandy for their continued support and engagement during our charity partnership and helping us to save tiny lives."

Nick Burrows from the law firm added: "It has been our pleasure to work with these two fantastic local charities, supporting the NHS in our area throughout what has been a very challenging time for everyone."

From July 1, Blandy & Blandy will adopt Berkshire Women’s Aid and The Cowshed as its new charities for two years.
