Adam Dowdney and Harriet Jones, partners in IBB’s corporate and commercial team, recently advised the existing shareholders on the disposal of their entire shareholding in Complete I.T. to Sharp Electronics (Europe).

Complete I.T. was established up in November 1992 to provide IT support to SMEs across the country. Now, with over 25 years’ experience and over 700 SME clients, it offers bespoke IT support services, Cloud expertise, security advice and business continuity support, all tailored to a company’s particular needs.

The IBB team advising the shareholders was led by Adam Dowdney and Harriet Jones, with support from corporate and commercial solicitor, Charlotte Newlyn, Richard Devall, a partner in the firm’s employment team, and Jeff Elphee and Felicity Barratt, partner and solicitor in the real estate team.

Sharp Electronics (Europe) was advised by Squire Patton Boggs.

Dowdney said of the transaction: “The calibre of the buyer really shows the quality of the business Colin, Trevor, Tim and the whole Complete I.T. team have built over the years. They have worked hard over 25 years to build Complete I.T.’s great reputation and client base and we thoroughly enjoyed working with all the shareholders on this disposal process. As a full-service law firm, we were delighted to provide comprehensive advice from our corporate and commercial, employment and real estate teams and are not only pleased for our clients but also wish Sharp every success with Complete I.T. in the future.”

Colin Blumenthal, director and seller-shareholder of Complete I.T. commented: “The whole team at IBB contributed to the successful outcome of this exciting deal and without IBB’s insight, attention to detail and sustained hard work the positive outcome we achieved, would have been much harder for all. We now all look forward to working with Sharp and its team for many years to come”.
