Thames Valley: Deals Awards finalists chosen by judging panel

The 12-strong judging panel for the Thames Valley Deals Awards has met to consider 680 nominations for this year's campaign - and has drawn up a shortlist of finalists.

The winner of each of the three Deal of the Year categories below will be decided by a mix of votes on the night, at the awards ceremony at Madejski Stadium, Reading, and judges' votes.

The contenders are:

Small Deal (under £10m)

  • Channel Mum investment by NVM
  • CIPHR MBO backed by LDC
  • Factor 21 group MBO
  • ULS Technology acquisition of Conveyancing Alliance

Mid-range Deal (£10m to £50m)

  • Box Technologies sale to Flytech Technology
  • CH&Co acquisition of Brookwood
  • Costain acquisition of SSL
  • Rush Hair Group investment by LDC

Large Deal (over £50m)

  • ByBox MBO funded by LDC
  • Micro Focus acquisitions of HP and Serena Software
  • Opus Energy sale to Drax Group plc
  • Property Software Group exit by LDC
  • Ridgeway Group sale to Marshall Motor Holdings
  • Xafinity IPO
