Thames Valley: BDB Pitmans launches with revenues of £50m-plus

Leading UK law firm BDB Pitmans, the merged firm of Bircham Dyson Bell and Pitmans Law, officially launched on December 1, 2018, offering clients enhanced services across four key locations: London, Reading, Cambridge and Southampton. The firm said it was now 'fully integrated both operationally and financially', driving it towards the Top 50 UK law firms with combined revenues of more than £50 million.

Over the coming months, BDB Pitmans will further integrate its teams across key practice areas and office locations. "The new firm is committed to creating together something greater than the sum of the two legacy firms," said a statement.

Complementary practices such as real estate, dispute resolution and corporate "will be greatly enhanced as will the breadth of services BDB Pitmans will be able to offer to both existing and new clients". The statement added: "BDB Pitmans is now a single, stronger law firm with great potential to add value to both firms’ existing clients."

Andrew Smith, managing partner of BDB Pitmans, said: “We are very pleased to announce the official launch of BDB Pitmans. Since the Partnership vote in September we have made great progress in integrating the two legacy firms culturally and across our offices which will allow us to offer clients a greater depth of services and expertise. A key focus for the new year will be to build on those foundations and take advantage of the opportunities that the merger gives us for further growth.”
