A record 680 nominations have been submitted for this year's Thames Valley Deals Awards - testament to the popularity of the Awards and the strength of the region's corporate finance market.

The judging panel was due to assess the entries at a session tomorrow, March 7, and the finalists will be announced by March 10. The black-tie dinner, when the winners will be revealed, is at Madejski Stadium, Reading, on Thursday, April 6.

Bill Turnbull, award-winning broadcaster and for 15-years the anchor on BBC Breakfast, will be the presenter at the event, where the audience will help decide the three main Deals of the Year categories by using voting keypads.

Other categories include Young Adviser, Law Firm of the Year, Bank of the Year and Corporate Finance Team of the Year.

To book last-minute places at the event, which will be a sell-out, email Libby Sharp at libby@elcot.co.uk
