Harris Computing, a worldwide vertical market software vendor based out of Canada, has purchased the Wiltshire software business Rialtas Business Solutions.

Rialtas provides a range of accounts and administration software for its various town, parish, and community council clients and has done for more than two and a half decades. Their software offers help with both big and small council accounting, asset inventory, facilities booking administration and plenty more besides.

It's yet another addition to the burgeoning portfolio of the Ottawa-HQ'd software firm acquirer Harris. They've expanded dramatically in recent years in the business, utility, education, government and healthcare sectors. Harris now owns over 180 firms in over 20 sectors throughout the world.

Steve Hammond is Harris UK's Portfolio Leader. He says this about the acquistion: “We are very excited to continue acquiring best-in-class accounting software that serve our communities. Rialtas is a perfect fit for our UK-based operations and will continue to dominate throughout England and Wales. We will take very good care of what Rialtas has built over the past 26 years.”

Managing Director of Rialtas Caroline Buckland said this: “Rialtas is a market leader in providing account and administration solutions to local councils. I am pleased that Harris has acquired Rialtas to carry it forward and continue its growth. Harris has provided a forever home for Rialtas, its employees and customers.”
