Sussex businessman Ade Holder donates 15 skateboards to Newick Youth Club
The founder and CEO of Sussex-based digital marking agency 427 has hailed the opening of a new skatepark in the village of Newick and also donated 15 skateboards.
Ade Holder, who is passionate about skateboarding, along with his daughter Freya and son Thorin, is hoping to encourage more kids to take up active, free sports rather than staring at their phones all day and having nothing to do in rural areas.

"Skateboarding has been a formative influence in my life and continues to bring immense joy to me and my children as well as many others in the area," he said.
"Skateboard and Scooting is a great way to explore creativity, and expression while also being active.
"Unlike many team sports a skatepark is a blank canvas and a great way to be active, learn about resiliance and be creative," he added.
Collaborating closely with the council, Holder played a vital role in the park's design, and, as part of its grand opening, he partnered with the Skate Society to donate 15 skateboards to Newick Youth Club.
Replacing the old Newick skatepark was much needed and councillor Melanie Thew and clerk to the council Emma Reece have campaigned on the matter tirelessly in recent years.
427 aims to offer "clear and jargon free marketing to businesses across Sussex and beyond". It believes that marketing is a big subject, and most companies don’t need to use or even know about every platform and channel available. 427 is also supporting a Sussex Kelp conservation project.
