The Business Magazine’s inaugural Surrey Kent Sussex 250 listing is now live and celebrating the top privately-owned companies from within the region.

The listing is compiled and published by The Business Magazine and sponsored by accountancy and business advisory firm BDO, HSBC Bank, investment banking firm Zeus Capital, recruitment specialists CMA Recruitment, and full-service law firm Irwin Mitchell.

A programme of editorial, live events, and awards will now commence – culminating in an exclusive, private, free, invite-only dinner on May 26, 2022, at Denbies Wine Estate near Dorking, to recognise those best performing.

Companies on the listing are now invited to put themselves forward for the following awards at the dinner:

  • Growth and Resilience Award
  • Innovation and Technology Award
  • Management Team of the Year
  • Finance Director of the Year
  • CEO of the Year
  • International Business Award

Tremayne Ducker, Head of Corporate Finance at Zeus Capital, said:

“Privately-owned businesses are the lifeblood of the UK economy. This inaugural listing is a moment to celebrate business and entrepreneurship across the Surrey, Kent and Sussex region. Zeus Capital has long championed a culture of enterprise, of business, of investment, of growth, and of backing the risk takers who create the jobs that continue to make the UK such an international success story. That’s why we’re absolutely delighted to be involved in this event.”

Richard Dibden, Commercial Director of CMA, said:

“CMA Recruitment Group is delighted to be sponsoring the SKS 250 campaign in 2021/22. As a long-established and trusted recruitment partner in the South, we work closely with many companies on the 250 list and we look forward to making new introductions to understand their business journeys and to support even more businesses throughout the region.”

CMA commented that they had thoroughly enjoyed sponsoring and engaging with clients from the Solent 250 for the past 4 years and, having opened an office in Guildford in May 2020 to support an existing 4-office network, involvement in the SKS 250 was a natural extension to their business engagement and recognition of the top companies in the region.

Katie Byrne, Partner at Irwin Mitchell, said:

“Irwin Mitchell is delighted to be sponsoring these Awards which recognise the fantastic businesses across Surrey, Kent and Sussex which have demonstrated resilience, entrepreneurial spirit and strength in what has been a challenging and unprecedented 24 months. At Irwin Mitchell we are committed to helping businesses attain their goals and we are confident that these Awards will go some way in helping local businesses attain both regional and national recognition.”
