Surrey vehicle repair business, Revive! Auto Innovations, has been shortlisted for a British Franchise Award.

Managed by Jay Belam, the auto-body repair franchise has been shortlisted for the 'Star Performer' Award. Jay's business is one of three earmarked for the BFA Star Performer Award. The winner will be announced at the HSBC sponsored British Franchise Awards in Birmingham on November 24.

Having previously served in the army for 12 years, Jay launched his franchise in 2010, performing small-to-medium-repair-technique (SMART) repairs out of his van. Today, Revive! Surrey is an 11-technician strong operation, with a fleet of six vans.

Jay commented: “This nomination is a very proud moment for the team, who have all worked exceptionally hard during exceptionally difficult times. Our customer-first based approach has meant that we have been able to build a strong reputation in the area.”

Jay concluded: “The cost of living crisis means are facing new business challenges, but given our recent success, I really want to see how far we can go as a team and help get as many Surrey residents’ cars back on the road as possible.

“It has also been incredibly rewarding to be given the opportunity to share my business skills, as well as the transferable skills which I picked up during my military experience with other franchisees via Revive!’s training initiatives. In fact, the sessions reminded me of my time training army recruits – even if I didn’t insist on them doing press ups!”
