Stroud based producers Kitchen Garden, has won new business in the USA.

Supermarkets and independents in Houston, USA will now be offering a range of Kitchen Garden products to the Brit-loving Americans.

James Horwood, Commercial Director and joint owner of Kitchen Garden Foods, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be exporting our Cotswold brand to America. There is a real demand for British hand-made products in the states, and they were impressed with quality of our products and the prominent Cotswold heritage.”

He added: “The US will be taking a range of jam, chutney and marmalade, as well our English mustard. We worked closely with the British Corner Shop based in Yate which are exporters of some of the most well-known UK brands, and also really like artisan, Cotswold producers like us.

“Barbara Moinet founded Kitchen Garden exactly 30 years ago using traditional recipes handed down through the generations and it’s those same recipes we use today. Barbara passed away a couple of years ago, but it was always her vision to see Kitchen Garden travel as far as it could. I know she’d be really pleased with this deal, and on our 30th birthday, we couldn’t be happier!”

The products will be landing in the USA mid-October and distributed out to stores after that.

Founded in 1989, Kitchen Garden now employs around 20 staff at their site in Salmon springs, have received more than 100 awards and supply in excess of 500 outlets across the UK and overseas. All of their products are made by hand, in small batches, using only natural ingredients.
