The Corporate team at Pitmans is delighted to announce the completion of the sale of the entire issued share capital of Teal Furniture to Senator International. Teal Furniture is a designer and manufacturer of quality wooden furniture for the contract market, specialising in the healthcare, educational, leisure and residential sectors, and is based in Stokenchurch with around 60 employees.
Pitmans acted for the founder and selling shareholders, and advised on an initial restructuring and reorganisation of the sellers group prior to the disposal process being undertaken.
The subsequent sale was completed in a very short timeframe and demonstrated the ability of the team to provide practical and commercial advice without compromising on quality of service. The deal involved significant Property input as well as Employment, Pensions and IP specialist advice, which is a further example of the full-service provision offered by Pitmans in the firm's transactional work.
Adam Dowdney, the corporate partner who ran the transaction for Pitmans, commented: "We were delighted to act for the selling shareholders throughout the reorganisation and disposal process. This deal typifies the team's expertise in acting on private share sales with complex multi disciplinary issues, and in providing advice to the client that is accurate and yet user friendly. The timetable for completion was extremely tight, and I was delighted with the dedication of the whole team across all disciplines of the Firm."
