Spring Business Park welcomes Vandapower
Battery and charger component wholesaler Vandapower has moved into the new Spring Business Park site.
Formerly the Buttericks Factory on New Lane, Spring Business Park is a new development consisting of twelve industrial and warehouse units in two terraces, along with 122 car spaces and roads.
Vandapower moved twelve of their staff from the previous base in Waterlooville to the new office built by Kingsbridge Estates based in the town of Havant, Hampshire.
The industrial warehouse units range in size from 4,007 sq ft to c.16,800 sq ft, and one of their key features are the solar panels which have been installed to reduce energy consumption.
The development has taken on a number of sustainable features including electric vehicle charging facilities, low energy lighting, an A-rated Energy Performance Certificate and comes with a “very good” BREEAM rating.
Vandapower’s UK operations manager, Dave Edwards, said: “Our success and growth year on year meant that we had simply outgrown our existing premises. We were looking for quality new accommodation without moving our teams too far afield, and Spring Business Park was the perfect choice.
“We are delighted to be among the first occupants at this quality, ideally-located site and are looking forward to continuing to grow our team while providing a first-class service to customers.”
The company was originally established as Torberry Connectors in 1971 and was later acquired by Vandapower NV in 2021.

Rachel Lacklison, asset manager for Kingsbridge Estates, said: “We are excited to welcome Vandapower to Spring Business Park, and pleased that the calibre of our newest occupant reflects the quality of this brand new, modern, high-quality scheme. We wish the team every success in their new home.”
The rest of the Spring Business Park units are available for leasehold, with Vail Williams and CBRE appointed as joint agents.
CBRE’s associate director, Oliver Sherriff, said: “Vandapower and Spring Business Park are a perfect fit and we were pleased to play our role in bringing the two together. Kingsbridge Estates have identified and delivered what occupiers are demanding, and we are delighted to secure a new letting so soon after the completion of this superb development.”
