Southampton: The University of Southampton will be exhibiting at the Business Innovation South expo

Business leaders will be able to find out how they can tap in to access world-leading expertise, talent and facilities at funding streams by working with the University of Southampton when they visit the Business Innovation South (BIS) expo in September.
The university will be exhibiting in Zone G at the Chilworth Manor Hotel near Southampton to highlight they are 'open for business' when it comes to research and enterprise collaborations.
Part of the world renowned Russell Group of top universities in the UK, the university's involvement across the region is far reaching and they look forward to showcasing their extensive engagement with SMEs from collaborative projects to student placements, to professional development training and more.The University will be highlighting the various funding streams that the SME community can benefit from to support their research and development activities through SPRINT, Scale up and the SET Squared partnership to name a few.They will be introducing their corporate sector partnership work and the various university enterprise units that support industry partners.

There will  also be a technology, innovation and research showcase to demonstrate the activities currently under development in collaboration with business partners. More details will be released closer to the event.

Major names in business are signing-up to the event and two thirds of the stand allocation has been snapped-up already.

BIS expo organiser Lara Bull said: "I am thrilled the University of Southampton has agreed to support this inaugural event. It is an opportunity for them to showcase to businesses the potential that exists to work together. And it will be a chance for the university to meet business owners and executives and to discuss ways in which the great wealth of research and innovation expertise that we have in the south can be driven forward".
