Following Baker Tilly’s acquisition of the trading operations of RSM Tenon in September, the RSM Tenon office in Southampton has been  rebranded as Baker Tilly from October 1.

The Southampton office, which has 15 partners and 150 staff, is one of the 35 RSM Tenon UK offices being rebranded as part of the integration of the two firms.

Baker Tilly is now the seventh largest accountancy firm in the UK, with annual revenues of £350 million, and over 4,000 staff and partners working across more than 50 offices, but this is the first time that the brand has had a presence in Southampton.

John Taylor, office managing partner for Baker Tilly Southampton, said: "The process of fully integrating the two firms will take some time, but this rebranding exercise is an important first step in establishing the Baker Tilly brand in the Southampton market.

"Baker Tilly is a major provider of accounting and business advisory services to privately-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, smaller listed firms, not-for-profit organisations, and high-net-worth individuals, so it is a perfect fit with RSM Tenon’s existing local client base.

"This merger will allow the firm to expand and strengthen its offering to existing and prospective clients and intermediaries in the local area."

The new Baker Tilly Southampton practice offers a full range of services including audit, accounting and business advisory, tax, corporate finance, restructuring and recovery and risk advisory services.
