Westquay’s recent expansion, vibrant business and restaurant trade made Southampton the 'obvious' choice for the location of a top hospitality recruiter’s new office. Platinum Recruitment opened the doors to its new office in Cumberland Place, Southampton, this week.

The new office is the second for the business which specialises in recruitment for all aspects of the hospitality industry. All the recruiters at the business have worked in the hospitality trade themselves, making them well placed to understand the needs of the hospitality market.

The company brings four new jobs to the city with its office opening, and initially aims to place around 50 staff into hospitality positions on a weekly basis.

Established in Bournemouth 12 years ago, the company has rapidly grown into one of the best regarded recruitment agencies in the country, with an on-target turnover of £8million this year.

Managing director Paul Sinclair said: “We have seen the benefit that a professional agency can give to businesses in Bournemouth, and Southampton offers a fantastic opportunity for us to replicate that same business model to its fantastic offering of hospitality and sporting venues.

“With Southampton’s recent expansion of Westquay and the food quarter, coupled with its vibrant business and restaurant trade, it was an obvious choice. The city has some wonderful restaurants, hotels and pubs, all of which will at times, find it difficult to recruit.”
