Law firm Moore Blatch has been shortlisted for three Solent Deals Awards. With offices in Southampton, Lymington, Richmond and the City of London, the 350-strong firm has been shortlisted for overall Law Firm of the Year, as well as in both the Mid-Range and Large deals categories.
The Law Firm of the Year category recognises stand-out law firms for deals in the region and is based on both the deals it has undertaken and the strength of the commercial law team that supports them.
In the other categories, Moore Blatch has been shortlisted for Large Deal of the Year (over £50m) for its work on the sale of local cooling and heating specialist ICS Cool Energy, which employs 250 people in Southampton to Ingersoll-Rand, and for Mid-Range Deal of the Year (£10m-£50m) for its work on the sale of Eastleigh-based Tructyre Fleet Management to the Michelin Group.
The Solent Deals Awards 2018 will be held on Thursday June 7 at the Hilton Hotel at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton where the winners will be announced.
Ed Whittington, managing partner, Moore Blatch, commented: “Our corporate team has had an extremely busy year, both locally and nationally. Transaction values have ranged from the hundreds of thousands to the tens of millions and we are very proud of the fact that whatever type of business, regardless of its size, we have always provided the same excellent service. We are delighted that this has been recognised in the Solent Deals Awards for both the law firm of the year and the two categories for medium and large transactions.”
Tables for Solent Deals Awards are still available. Priced at £1,700 for a table of 10, the evening includes drinks reception, and three-course dinner with a half bottle of wine per person. Email Libby Sharp at libby@elcot.co.uk
