Southampton: Meridian overseas £110m deals

Southampton has become the centre of numerous national business deals thanks to local firm Meridian Corporate Finance LLP, the largest independent corporate finance boutique in the South.

In the past six months, Meridian has overseen a number of large corporate transactions both within and outside the Solent area, from the Thames Valley to the West Midlands and beyond.

The team has also completed one of the largest transactions this year in Wales, which was a £37m sale of a business to a FTSE plc, taking the total amount of deals advised on so far this year to over £110m.

Meridian’s specialist team has completed a number of company sales, share buy-backs and management buyouts. From their Southampton location, Meridian was able to manage the numerous parties involved in each of the transactions, which included local professionals from NatWest, PricewaterhouseCoopers, HSBC, Lines Wilson, Blake Lapthorn Tarlo Lyons and Shoosmiths.

The success of these projects has attracted an even greater number of national firms to Southampton and Meridian looking for specialist corporate finance advice in the future.
