Flybe has become the first UK airline to offer its customers the opportunity to ‘hold’ their preferred online fare for 24 hours with the launch of its price lock-down. By guaranteeing that the price of their chosen flight itinerary is held, travellers now have the benefit of being able to check and finalise all their travel details before confirming and paying for their Flybe flight.

Simon Lilley, Flybe’s director of marketing, commented: “We appreciate our customers have busy lives and that making travel plans should be as quick, easy and convenient as possible. To this end, our new price lock-down is an enabler to travel, allowing Flybe to guarantee the price of a flight for 24 hours so our online bookers can go ahead and firm up any other travel details with complete peace of mind.

“We’re also pleased to once again be the UK industry leader in introducing this additional benefit for our online customers that gives them more flexibility and choice than any other airline when initiating travel plans.”

Flybe’s price lock-down is available from just £5 on all Essentials and New Economy bookings made online and when made no later than 14 days prior to the date of travel.

Flybe is Europe's largest regional airline, operating from 34 UK destinations including Southampton Airport.
