Southampton: Cruise provider chooses Sheridan Maine
The UK’s largest and most popular cruise provider Carnival UK, which incorporates P&O Cruises, Cunard Line, Princess Cruises and Ocean Village, has selected Sheridan Maine, the South Coast’s leading specialist recruitment provider, to supply its finance and accountancy staff under a Managed Partnership Agreement.
David Heron, Sheridan Maine’s managing director, commented: “We are delighted to have Carnival UK on board and working under our Managed Partnership Agreement. We launched our Managed Partnership solution last year to address the issues being raised by clients, namely service delivery, costs, added value and flexibility. Through maximising our supply capability we have been able to package a solution that addresses these issues through providing effective account management supported with access to a variety of IT, Psychometric and Accountancy candidate assessment tools. The agreement works under a gain share arrangement which provides cost savings ranging from 20 to 40% and offers clients complete flexibility in how they wish to work with alternative suppliers.”
Carnival UK senior HR business adviserLisa Andrews-Harrod said: “We are happy to be working closely with Sheridan Maine. After building a strong relationship with them over recent years we are confident that they understand our business and the type of talented people we look to recruit to ensure we remain Britain’s favourite cruise line.
“We have exciting times to come, with the introduction of two new ships to our fleet in 2010; P&O Cruises welcomes Azura in April and Queen Elizabeth joins Cunard Line in October. Throughout these busy times we look forward to working closely with Sheridan Maine."
