Southampton: Clarke Willmott acts in buyout of PamPurredPets
Pet store chain PamPurredPets has been acquired by competitor Pets Corner for £6 million, in a deal led by the corporate team in the Southampton office of Clarke Willmott LLP.
Pet retailer Pets Corner has bought the entire shareholding of PamPurredPets. The takeover will add a further 51 stores, spread right across the south, to the holding company’s 110 stores, making it the second-largest chain of pet stores in the UK.
Kelvin Balmont, partner at Clarke Willmott and lead lawyer on the deal, said: “It was great to be involved in this transaction which consolidates two leading market brands.”
The corporate team acting for PamPurredPets also included partner Richard Swain and associate Emma Couch. Clarke Willmott’s commercial property department, in particular senior associate Mehar Patel and his team also worked on the deal.
